Intersect establishes online training delivery

Like many organisations in Australia and around the world, Intersect is monitoring and responding to the unfolding situation with Coronavirus. The whole Intersect team is working hard to continue to deliver excellent service to our member universities and their researchers.

Historically, our training services have concentrated on in-person, face-to-face delivery of intensive training courses, such as scientific programming, data science, and advanced computing. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and in line with advice from Federal and State Governments and our member universities, Intersect has suspended all in-person, face-to-face training activities.

We have already begun delivering courses in REDCap, Qualtrics, SQL, and R online via Zoom and we are working towards the delivery of all our courses online in the coming weeks and months, as we establish mechanisms for delivering the courses online without compromising the quality and expertise that we bring to every training course.

Notwithstanding the suspension of in-person training and closure or “work-from-home” policies of member university campuses, our committed and experienced Services Team of eResearch Analysts remain available to researchers from our member universities for consulting and support throughout this period via phone, email, and videoconference. If you have any questions or would like any assistance, please feel free to contact your local eResearch Analyst, or Intersect Help.
