Wrapping up a blockbuster October in the research space – what a ride!

We have been at the heart of an incredibly busy (and inspiring) calendar, powering collaboration, computation, and breakthroughs across the sector. From global data ecosystems to pest management and cutting-edge eResearch, here’s a recap of the key events and top takeaways:

This kickoff to the Global Image Data Ecosystem (GIDE) brought together visionaries and the panels tackled culture, tech, metadata, and policy – laying the foundation for interoperable bioimaging worldwide. #foundingGIDE

📆 NSW Vertebrate Pest Management Symposium
We showcased how advanced computational tools and predictive analytics are revolutionizing invasive species management. Data-driven strategies = smarter biosecurity. #VertebratePestManagement

📆 International Data Week
Talks on AI-ready images, CARE/FAIR principles, and creative REDCap External Modules for health research governance. #IDW2025 #REDCap

📆 eResearch Australasia 2025
The energy around digital research skills was electric. Some of the core topics we have discussed and presented:

✅ Skills Leadership: Showcases our latest research skills development, delivering exceptional training in research technology. #eResearchSkills

✅ The AI Imperative: AI isn’t replacing skills training – it’s amplifying the need for expertise in Python, R, and underlying tech for seamless integration. #AI

✅ The REDCap Wave: Substantial interest in REDCap, but a clear capability gap. Urgent priority: deeper national exploration of secure data federation and global connectivity. #REDCap

✅ We also demoed our Intersect Advanced Analytics & AI Solutions on Nectar Research Cloud with ARDC – reducing AI/ML barriers so researchers can focus on science. Booth chats were non-stop! eResearchAUS
