4th Collaborative Course
The 4th collaborative graduate-level course is titled “HPC and Data in Astrophysics” to be delivered over three months as a live online event by an array of internationally renowned professors and scientists from 3rd September to 28th Nov 2024. The curriculum will include essential and diverse aspects of computational astrophysics such as numerical simulations; HPCD techniques; statistical modelling and inference; AI and machine learning in astrophysics; mining, modelling, and Inference; industry showcases, and hands on tutorials.
The Collaborative Graduate Education (CGE) initiative was instigated by Intersect’s Education and Outreach Manager Dr. Meiyun Chang. With guidance and support from the Organizing Committee, Intersect functions as the main facilitator in planning and co-organising of this not-for-profit collaboratively taught, interactive venture. In collaboration with Intersect Education, NCI Australia’s Training team provides tutorial resourcing and HPCD expertise on the Gadi supercomputer for existing and emerging HPCD users coming through the CGE program.
