Increasing Researcher Expertise

Welcome back to the new year. After a short Christmas close down period, the Intersect team was back in early January, refreshed and ready to rock.

Last quarter, we focused on upskilling our team and enhancing the training courses on offer to Members. AWS technologies are being used by a number of members and support can be challenging to maintain and expensive to procure. To better support our members we are committed, and on the way to certification within the entire technical team.

We invested time in developing a new machine learning (AI) course and improving the Excel for Researchers course in response to increased demand. Our Engineering team have been supporting Western Sydney University in a significant international humanities project, developing solutions in Digital Humanities and we attended the eResearch Australasia 2020 conference, with Intersect eResearch Analysts contributing to many sessions and hosting a ‘booth’ at the online exhibition.

Read below for all the news from the last quarter at Intersect.

Please email energy@intersect.org.au for more information or enquiries – especially if your team is keen to investigate how we can help in providing DevOps solutions, Engineering services, eResearch Training or Specialist Services.
